Hardwood gates are a stunning addition to any driveway or entrance, and at Bideford Joinery, we can create any style you have in mind—from classic straight-headed designs to elegant gull-wing shapes like the ones pictured below. Whether you prefer TGV boarding, bars, or a combination of both, we’ll craft something unique to suit your property.

Because gates are constantly exposed to the elements—especially here in North Devon—using a high-quality hardwood is essential. All of our gates are designed with weather resistance in mind, including 15-degree water-shedding angles or generous rounding on horizontal rails to prevent water pooling.

Both of the gates shown here are made from Iroko—a beautiful, durable timber—and were an absolute pleasure to create.
