Windows & Sliding Sash

Casement windows

Casement windows are hung on hinges and can be traditional flush/sunken style or storm proof windows. They both look great in any wood, but in our opinion the storm proof windows are the better ones for keeping out the weather due to the fact of the double rebate they have.  We produce these windows with standard storm proof hinges or friction hinges. All of Bideford Joinery windows include weather seal rubbers and are manufactured to your own specifications at the highest quality and best possible price!

With the advent of document Q for new builds Bideford Joinery a high performance flush fit style part Q and U value certificated window to meet your needs.

Keeping the character not the cold!!!

The timeless character of a North Devon cottage is beautifully preserved with Bideford Joinery’s slim duplex bar double-glazed windows. By matching the style of the original windows and seamlessly updating them for the 21st century, we’ve ensured the charm remains intact.

Crafted from Iroko, these windows are built to last for many years to come.

If you’re considering new windows, don’t sacrifice the unique character of your home. That character could be worth more than you realise—and once it’s lost, it’s hard to reclaim.

Sliding sash windows.

Sliding sash (or box sash) windows are a classic design where two glazed panels slide past each other to open the window. These windows are especially popular in Georgian and Victorian buildings, where they contribute to much of the property’s character. Over the years, however, they’ve gained a reputation for being cold and draughty.

At Bideford Joinery, we’ve solved this issue. We fit rubber parting slips as standard, along with a rubber seal on the bottom rail and meeting rails. Combined with double glazing, this ensures a draught-free, energy-efficient window that maintains all the character of traditional sash windows. Keep the character, not the cold!

Call us today to find out how affordable our sliding sash windows can be. All our bespoke sash windows are crafted in our North Devon workshop, with precision and care.
